VenaSeal™ Closure System

The VenaSeal™ Closure System is an FDA-approved procedure that is non-thermal, non-tumescent, and non-sclerosant. Basically, it uses a specifically articulated medical adhesive that literally closes the vein. Moreover, the procedure is performed without tumescent anesthesia. This, in turn, minimizes the need for numerous needle sticks. As well, patients report that there is minimal or no bruising post procedure. Learn more+

Benefits of the VenaSeal™ Closure System include

  • The vein is closed with medical adhesive seals
  • Uses just one needle stick of numbing medicine
  • Fewer bruises than other varicose vein treatments
  • No compression stockings are needed after the treatment

Ambulatory Phlebectomy

Ambulatory Phlebectomy, also known as “hook” Phlebectomy, is a micro-extraction technique that is used to get rid of bulging, lumpy varicose veins. Tiny instruments are utilized to permanently remove the diseased veins. The mandatory incisions are so tiny (1/8 inch) that they are sealed with a Band-Aide and not with stitches.

Since the incisions are so small, there is generally no scarring. As well, the procedure is done in the office under local anesthesia. In fact, general anesthesia is not needed. For faster healing, walking is encouraged as soon as possible. In fact, most patients return to work the next day. For extra protection, a compression stocking is worn over the Band-Aide.

Keep in mind that bruising does occur and takes about a week to go away. For follow up, have an ultra sound to ensure that all your diseased veins are found and can be treated. This will actually minimize the likelihood of recurring vein problems in the future. Learn more+

ClosureFast™ Procedure

The ClosureFast™ technique is a slightly invasive segmental ablation treatment for Varicose Veins and Venous Insufficiency. The treatment uses Radiofrequency (RF) energy to dispense an even and a uniform heat so that the collagen in the vein walls will contract. When the collagen contracts it will collapse and seal. Blood will re-direct itself to other healthy veins when the damaged vein is closed.

The ClosureFast™ Procedure offers a relaxed and quick recovery. Actually, the average patient’s varicose veins are significantly improved plus they can quickly return to everyday activities. Learn more+

Sclerotherapy

  • Ultrasound Guided Sclerotherapy (UGS): UGS is a vastly specialized technique for treating advanced Varicose Veins that are concealed beneath the skin. The procedure entails the injection of a sclerosant solution into the irregular veins by the use of ultrasound. As a result, the solution causes the vein wall to collapse. And as the body gradually absorbs them, the veins dissipate and disappear. Both specialists and patients alike find this method of treatment tremendously safe and effective. Learn more+
  • Foam Sclerotherapy: Foam Sclerotherapy is a method for eliminating varicose veins, especially bigger ones. The procedure is implemented by injecting the veins with foam. This special foam causes the veins to scar inside. Eventually, the veins harden, close up and then vanish. Customarily, Foam Sclerotherapy combines a gas (sometimes air) and a chemical which produces a thicker and foamy texture. Generally, the agent resembles a foamy hand soap or shaving cream. Chemicals that are often used include sodium tetradecyl sulfate, glycerin, polidocanol (Varithena™) or sodium morrhuate. Learn more+
